Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my official blog. If you're looking for something in particular, you might want to type keywords into the search feature on the left-hand side of the page. And I've added a BLOG INDEX on its own page (a bit more complete than the one below) to make it easier. Poking around is also encouraged.

And please do leave comments! Don't be confused by the "author" field in the comment form. When you are writing a message to me and my readers, you are the author. (Nice role reversal, huh?)

Cover Reveal

Things are moving fast now. My novel Don't Let Me Go was released in the UK on the 29th of September, and the next one, When You Were Older, will be out in the spring. And I just handed in another for 2013, but that's another subject for another blog post.

Now, I have to stop here and inject a message to my US readers. Yes, I understand there was a time when all these UK releases may have felt a little frustrating. But now these titles are coming out fast in the US. Second Hand Heart is already out and When I Found You will be out this month. So we're catching up fast.

Today I have the pleasure of doing a cover reveal for next spring's When You Were Older release. It's the first of my UK novels to come out in hardback. So I'm including an image of the whole dust jacket here as well.

I also created a placeholder page for When You Were Older, so you can look at the jacket text and get the very short synopsis.

Of course, I'll keep you posted.

You have been busy! The cover looks great and I can't wait to read it :)

I have been busy! I got ahead of schedule. There was some talk of bringing two books out in '12, but instead they decided on a hardcover release in the spring, followed by the fall paperback. It's my first UK hardcover, so it will be very interesting to see how that goes.

Right on! You are going to keep me busy reading! :)

I know some people don't like hardbacks, but a book is a book to me, whatever format it might be in.

We'll have to do another post for the release! :D

@ Kendra: I'm doing my best! @Nikki-ann, I would love to! Let's plan on it!

Cover looks great Catherine! Can't wait to read it. Do you get much input into your cover designs?
I'm eagerly waiting for Don't Let me Go to land on my door mat. It's been dispatched so should be here anytime now. Hooray!

Hi, Kerry! I get some input on the cover. The publisher will show it to me to see what I think. They have final say, but fortunately Transworld has sent good covers and we have always managed to see eye to eye.

Thanks, Sara! Nice that they're coming out only a half-year apart, I think.
