Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my official blog. If you're looking for something in particular, you might want to type keywords into the search feature on the left-hand side of the page. And I've added a BLOG INDEX on its own page (a bit more complete than the one below) to make it easier. Poking around is also encouraged.

And please do leave comments! Don't be confused by the "author" field in the comment form. When you are writing a message to me and my readers, you are the author. (Nice role reversal, huh?)

Two Giveaways at Once

I can't help it. When I'm given more than I need in the way of copies, I can't just see putting them on a shelf. What's the point? I like to archive two copies of all my editions, but anything beyond that is wasteful.

A few days ago I asked my wonderful editor at Amazon Publishing if I could get a copy of the brand new unabridged audio of my brand new novel Walk Me Home. I wanted to hear how it sounds.

Today a box arrived in the mail with two MP3 audio copies and five on CD. That's three more CD sets than I need.

So let's rack up three happy winners here. Leave a comment below, and make sure you leave your name under author (you are the author of the comment) and your email address in the comment form, where it won't show publicly, I'll use it to notify you if you win. I won't use it for anything else.

This is a good giveaway for those who haven't read Walk Me Home yet. If you have, you may be less enthusiastic about this one. In which case you need to hop over to my other giveaway that's going on right now, under the post title Fun Games for Book Birthdays, and tell me your favorite line(s). Then you can choose which book you want to win, and you can end up with one you haven't read yet.

Good luck!

Therese, I took the liberty of moving this comment to the giveaway for the audiobooks, You (and Sandee) are entered.

Therese wrote: "I would love for my friend Sandee to be able to get this because she cannot read due to health reasons at this time. One day I will get this on my Kindle..."

That's a very good reason to want an audiobook for a friend Therese. Nice gesture. Will you do me a favor and leave a comment on the blog post at my website? Otherwise I'm worried I might forget to put you in the drawing. Thanks!

Hi Catherine. I would love to try an audio book. It might be nice while on the treadmill or bike at the gym. I just finished reading Becoming Chloe on my Kindle while riding a bike for an hour. I love your books. I read 3 so far.

Hey Catherine! I hope I win the audio book! :P Love you ... and lemme tell you that in this small town in the Philippines, your books are 'still' unavailable. Tss. Anyway, I don't really expect that I win. I just wanna say HI and wish you all the best. :)

As you know, I'm reading this now (and loving it) but would love to have a version my mom could enjoy! She has almost gone past the 'large print', and this would be a great transition piece for her.

Thank you again for being so giving.

It's lovely.

I have 2 daughters, 10 yrs. & 3 yrs. When we are all in the car together, I use this valuable time to expose my children to many different works of literature via audiobooks. This sounds like sometghing my 10 year old $ I would both enjoy. Because of the age difference of my children, it was hard for Libby (10) to bond with her baby sister. This sounds like the type of book that would perhaps forge a stronger bond. We would love a free copy, as finances are always tight with 2 growong children.

Thanks in advance for reading my email, and I wish you many future successses.

July 29, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDalana Tucker

Hi Dalana, Sorry to say this giveaway ended in May, and books have already been mailed to he winners. Also, I don't have too many books that you'd want to play for children as young as yours. Possibly the least mature of my Young Adult novels, which would be The Year of My Miraculous Reappearance and Diary of a Witness. Still, even those might be pretty intense with a 3-year-old in the car. Plus, they are not out in audio. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but if you're looking for free books for yourself, you might want to follow this blog. I announce free ebooks and give away free paper books pretty regularly. Thanks for your interest in my work.
