Who Likes Free Stuff?

Look what just came in the mail today. Five copies of the brand new unabridged audio edition of When I Found You. Not yet released.
If you follow this blog regularly, you'll know that I like to keep two copies of every edition in my archive. Send me more than that, and I host a giveaway.
So here goes. Three of these are up for grabs. Leave a comment below if you'd like to win one, and you're entered. I'll leave this open until about the middle of October. Then I'll draw three names.
As always, enter your name in the "author" field of the comment form, not mine. (It means author of the comment.) Do leave your email address in the form, where it won't show publicly. I don't keep a mailing list, and I will use it only to notify you if you win, not for any other purpose. Don't leave it in the body of the comment, because then it will show publicly.
And that's it! Good luck, and pass it on.

I'm going to be away on a hiking trip the week of the 14th-18th, so I'm going to extend this giveaway by a few days, which seems fairer than cutting it short. So if you're wondering why it's mid-month and I haven't chosen winners yet, thank you for your little extra bit of patience. Check back on the 19th. I'll have names.

Aaaaand ... the winners are ...
Okay, this is where I have to stop and tell you that I hate this part. I look at all the great comments from the people whose names I didn't pull, and I wish I had thirty of these. But I don't. I have three. To those who left great comments but didn't win, as always, keep an eye on this blog. There's always more to give away down the road.
Now:
1) Connie Henderson
2) Neva Clennan
3) Sue Ward
'Til next time!

An audio would do wonders for the monotony of the commute.
This book is WONDERFUL ! I would love to share this !
Love your books.my favorite so far is Don't Leave Me !
Thanks, folks! Jesse, you're right. There's nothing like an audiobook to dress up a long commute. Thanks for sharing, Kathleen. And Neva, did you know Don't Let Me Go is only 99 cents (in ebook format) until the 20th of this month? I know you've read it, but it's something else you might feel is worth sharing. You're all entered.
I want this! I live in my car with audio books!
That's great, Camille, because now I have more entries than prizes! But we're just getting started. I'm sure it will pick up over the next couple of weeks.
My mother-in-law is legally blind and "reads" audio books all the time, that's what she say, she leaves out the audio, she reads a lot, period. I think we ought to listen to your book on the next road trip to Texas, when we visit the in-laws. That's from the PNW to the Gulf Coast, should work beautifully, we listen, then pass on. Yippy!
Audiobooks for the blind is brilliant! I need to take some of my old ones and donate them. I can't explain why I didn't think of that sooner!!
Judith and Wendy, sounds like a great plan. Listen, then donate. Good luck!
Hi. I would love to receive this!! I use to read 5-7 books weekly but the last 3 years I have been battling migraines. So my reading has dropped but I did start doing audio-books about 6 months ago on the days my head wont allow me to read. I do recycle all my books/audio books to charity after friends & family members have enjoyed. Thank you for the chance & good luck to everyone. Take Care.
Thanks, Holly! You're entered. And good luck!
Thank you for entering me. I would love to listen to your book and then pass it to my UK friends (Sue/Philomena) who love your books. They are the reviewers on 2-Friends Facebook Page. They were my first reviewers of 'Bishop Street.'
I want my husband to hear what I have enjoyed reading for hours of pleasure your books have given me instead of my relating them to him. He has a very bad memory and I am his care giver, so audio books give him a great amount of pleasure and I get some free time.
Thanks, Rene and Sue. Now I wish I had more to give away, so everybody would get one!
I would love to win one....I can't think of a better way to drive to and from work !!
Thanks, Pam! You're entered.
A copy of your audio book would be great !
You're in, Mary Ellen! Good luck!
I would love a copy Thanks for the chance!!!!!!
Always happy to give extras away Crystal. Good luck!
this would be my first time reading you - would love to do so.
Welcome, Cheryl! New (to me) readers are always welcome here.
Trying to find the right words to express my admiration for your creative talent. "Where We Belong" was the first book I read by you, and the characters were so well drawn, and dialogue so well written, that I felt I knew them personally, and did not want their story to end. You give such voice to your characters without ever having to speak a word... Surely, "When I found You" can be no less wonderful, with or without audio. You have a fan!
Wonderful, Anita! Couldn't be happier to have you as a fan! Every reader means a great deal to me. Especially the ones who care enough to tell me their thoughts on the books. Thank you!
I'd love to win a copy. I have difficulty reading regular books so a giveaway for an audio is right up my street. Fingers crossed and thank you.
You're entered, Deborah, and good luck!
I bought and read the Kindle edition of When I Found You. As I'm a teenager, I took interest in Nat. And I was very touched by his story. I love this novel. I'll be very happy if I win one copy of the audio edition!
Thank you, Hlyan! It's good to hear from a teenage reader. Several people who left reviews on Amazon said this could be a good book for a young adult. I had never seen it that way. But it worked for you. I have many other books that I know are good for teens. Thanks for your comment, and you are entered.
Can you name some of the books that you know are good for teens, please? I'd like to read them.
Can you name some of the books that you know are good for teens, please? I'd like to read them.
Absolutely. Pay It Forward, and all five of the books I published with Knopf Books for Young Readers. They are Becoming Chloe, The Year of my Miraculous Reappearance, The Day I Killed James, Diary of a Witness, and Jumpstart the World. I've also been told that two of my newer adult books, Walk Me Home and Where We Belong, would be good for teens, and I agree. They both have teenage protagonists. You can click the links on the left side of any page of this site and read more about these books, so you can decide what sounds interesting.
I've read Pay It Forward, of course. It is one of my favorite books. (I wonder if you like the film adaption of it.) I'll read the other books you mentioned above.
Hi, just saw your book and giveaway, and would love a chance to win one. I am disabled by chronic pain disorders, and reading is my greatest pleasure, just an expensive one at times at the rate I do it. Want to check iI out either way, always looking for new writers I might like to follow. Thanks much, Valerie
Hlyan, I had issues with the film adaptation. I certainly would have made a different film had it been up to me. And Valerie, if you're looking for bargain books, my novel Don't Let Me Go is only $0.99 as a Kindle ebook. Not forever, but till the 20th of October. That might be a good way to get started. And watch this blog, because I often have free books, discount deals, and giveaways. In the meantime, of course you are entered for this one.
Love love audio books and this book looks awesome!! Thanks for the giveaway!
My pleasure, Deanna! You are entered.
I would love to win a copy! Thanks.
That's great, April! Good luck!

A very compelling reason to want to win an audiobook, Connie! You are entered, and best of luck!
Would love to listen to your book on my commute. I work for social services and enjoy listening to uplifting music and audio books to start or even to deflate after the day is complete.
I think you might like this one, Wanda. A lot of people who are in similar lines of work to yours have told me it hit home for them. You are entered, and good luck!
I recently "discovered" you and have only ready one of your books. I loved it and am now looking forward to reading all of your books! I want to try listening to an audiobook because I have spent way too much time reading lately...which means I am not getting other things done that should be getting done. Thanks for entering me in the contest.
A very good point about audiobooks, Cindy. I never thought about it before, but I could be listening to a novel while I fold laundry and do dishes.
Haha! I guess you read my mind about some of the things that weren't getting done. I am amazed that you replied personally to my post. That gives me even more reason to want to read all of your books. Thanks. I love it when I find a new (to me) author that I really enjoy reading, and I have just done that with you.
Always, Cindy! I always respond to my readers, because who is more important than my readers? Without you, I'd be out of a job.
I am an avid reader and you have become my favorite author! Would LOVE to win an audio book to listen to on the car rides back and for from the hockey rinks with my 2 kids!
Hi, Kathy. It makes me so happy to be someone's new favorite author! Thank you! You are entered, and good luck.
Hello all. I am honoured to be part of the platform of you and yours. The film, Pay it Forward has always been my number 1 and unfortunately I never read the book. However, life's goals have changed and book in hand and audio's of them is the start of my personal library. This will be the legacy for my children and theirs one day, to continue the library which will be open for in-house use whilst generating funds for Anti Human Trafficking Internationally. Soon I will have all your books and audios for guests to our Library to enjoy Cathrine. Thank you for writing Pay it Forward and I do look forward to the book and will be in contact with the foundation too to work with this great cause. Blessed are all of us that it was turned into a film and the profound impact it has had on us and many we have shared the philosophy with. My sister and I however do not ever watch it to the end, but only to what we view as the happy ending. Greetings from the beautiful Mother City, Cape Town in South Africa.
